Built inside an advisory practice — for the founders we advise.
GalaxyCFO didn't start as a startup. It started as the spreadsheets, models and weekly conversations we ran as CFO advisors for Australian businesses.
For years we did the work of an outsourced CFO: forecasting cash, decoding working capital, keeping founders ahead of BAS and payroll, and turning a shoebox of numbers into a plan a business owner could actually act on. The same questions came up in every engagement — how much cash do I really have, what's coming, and what should I do about it?
We answered them again and again with tools that were never quite built for the job — spreadsheets that broke, dashboards that didn't reconcile, software that made you type numbers it already had. So we always had a picture in our heads of the tool we wished existed: one that connected to the ledger, tied to the bank to the cent, and spoke in plain English about what to do next.
When building software became something a small, determined team could actually do, we stopped wishing and built it. GalaxyCFO is that tool — the advisory brain we'd spent years refining, turned into software any founder can pick up.
Our mission
We're on a mission to automate the CFO advisory job — to give every founder and entrepreneur the same clarity a great CFO gives their best clients. Not more reports to read, but a living view of the cash, honest answers about what's working, and a clear path to turn a business into a profit engine.
We're launching with cash flow — the thing every business lives and dies on — and building out the rest of the CFO toolkit from there, guided by the people who use it.
What we believe
Honest numbers
Every month-end reconciles against your bank to the cent. If something's off, the tool tells you before you find out the hard way — no quietly-wrong forecasts.
Advisor-grade, founder-friendly
The models and checks a good CFO runs for their best clients, rebuilt so a founder can use them without a finance degree.
